Describe the work performed

State whether the bench supports assembly, packing, repair, inspection or general workshop tasks. Identify tools, workpiece dimensions, operator access and whether drawers, shelves, a back panel or a mobile base are needed.

Measure the work zone

Provide target length, depth and working height, plus clearance for operators, stools, doors and adjacent equipment. Treat these as requested dimensions until the supplier confirms the available model or approved drawing.

Verify surface and load

Specify the work-surface material and finish required for the task. Ask for the rated distributed and point load, how it was determined, and whether the rating changes with accessories or adjustable feet. Never infer capacity from a rendered image.

Plan assembly and shipment

Confirm whether the bench ships assembled or knock-down, the package dimensions and weight, hardware and instructions, required tools, palletization and destination constraints. For customized layouts, approve drawings and scope before the order.

What load capacity should I request?

Estimate the heaviest expected items and how loads are distributed, then request a documented rating for the exact configuration. Do not use an unverified generic rating.

Should I choose a wood or metal work surface?

Choose based on the task, cleaning, impact and chemical exposure requirements. Ask the supplier to confirm the actual surface material and replacement options.

Can drawers and shelves be added later?

Compatibility depends on the model frame and accessory system. Confirm combinations and included hardware before placing an order.
