Questions buyers ask before ordering

These answers describe how LEADTOP approaches an inquiry. They do not confirm the availability or specification of any particular model; those are checked per request.

What these answers cover

Buyers comparing steel furniture suppliers tend to ask the same set of questions: what is actually available, what a specification really says, how images relate to the product, and what has to be agreed before an order is placed. The answers below separate what this site can confirm today from what has to be checked per request.

If your question is about a specific model, the product categories show the candidate profiles, and the buying guide lists what a quotation should contain. When the answer depends on your order, use the contact channels; the privacy notice explains what the inquiry form stores.

Steel furniture sourcing questions

What products can I ask about?

The site currently organises 80 candidate profiles across eight steel furniture categories: filing cabinets, steel storage cabinets, metal lockers, mobile pedestals, shelving and bookcases, steel desks and workbenches, archive storage systems and specialty steel cabinets (including tool storage). These are planning references, not a confirmed live catalogue. Ask about a category or a candidate model and LEADTOP can confirm whether a real product corresponds to it.

Are the product images real photographs?

No. Images on the product pages are AI-generated concept illustrations, labelled on the page. They are not photographs of supplied goods, they do not verify a model appearance, and in several cases the same illustration is shared by two candidate profiles. Photographs of the actual model are supplied when they exist.

Where can I get confirmed specifications?

Request them for the exact model. Dimensions, steel grade and thickness, finish, colour, lock and drawer configuration, packing, MOQ and lead time are confirmed in writing for the selected product. Nothing on this site should be read as a verified specification for a candidate profile.

Do you work with OEM, ODM or custom sizes?

Customization and OEM/ODM requirements can be discussed. Feasibility depends on the confirmed factory, the model and the volume, so the configuration, tooling, approval steps and commercial terms are reviewed before anything is promised. Send drawings or a reference sample where you have them.

What are the MOQ and lead time?

They are not published as general figures because they depend on the model, the configuration, the packing method and the quantity. Both are stated in the quotation for the specific order, together with the quotation validity.

Knock-down or fully assembled packing?

Both options exist across the product range, but not for every model. Knock-down packing usually reduces shipping volume and assembly happens at destination; assembled packing arrives ready to use. The available option and its packing details are confirmed per model, and gun cabinets are not offered in a knock-down version.

Can you arrange samples, inspection or export documents?

Sample arrangements, inspection scope, packing records and export documents are agreed per order. Tell us which documents your market or buyer requires, and confirm that any certificate or test report offered applies to the exact product and destination.

Which markets do you serve?

LEADTOP focuses on overseas B2B buyers: importers, wholesalers, distributors, contract furnishers and project buyers. Specific destination markets and their local requirements are not claimed as a standard capability, so include the destination in your inquiry and the applicable requirements can be reviewed.

How is my inquiry handled?

The form posts your details to the LEADTOP inquiry service, which validates the fields and stores the record in the inquiry database. Automatic email notification is not connected in the current build, so no email acknowledgement or auto-reply is sent.

How quickly will I get a reply?

Requests are reviewed in the order received. This page does not promise a response time or a service level, because response depends on the specification work and production scheduling for each request. WhatsApp is usually the fastest channel to start a conversation.

Can I see a price without a specification?

An indicative price can only be meaningful once the model, configuration, packing and quantity are known. A price given without those details would not be comparable, so LEADTOP confirms the specification first and quotes against it.

What personal data does the form store?

Name, business email, company, country or market, product interest, quantity, requirements text and an optional WhatsApp number, plus the referring page, a campaign tag and the submission time. A one-way hash is stored to prevent duplicates. Retention, deletion and the privacy contact are still unconfirmed; see the privacy notice.

What warranty and after-sales support should I expect?

Warranty terms are commercial commitments, so they have to be confirmed for the specific model and order rather than assumed from a category. Ask what the warranty covers (structure, coating, locks, castors, drawer runners), how long it runs, who performs the remedy, whether spare parts are supplied, and what evidence is needed to raise a claim. LEADTOP confirms these terms in the quotation for the confirmed model; this page does not state a warranty period.

Which certification applies to steel furniture, and what does each document prove?

Three different things are often mixed together. A product standard is the specification a product is designed against, such as an EN or ANSI/BIFMA furniture standard. A test report records how one sample performed against a named test method, at a named laboratory, on a named date. A company or management-system certificate, such as ISO 9001, describes a quality system, not a product. Ask for the document that matches your requirement, check whose name is on it and which model it covers, and confirm whether your destination market requires a specific standard.

Practical Buyer Questions

Which guide should I read before an inquiry?

Start with the buying guide, then use the specification, materials, packaging or OEM/ODM guide for the questions relevant to your project.

What if the project has unusual requirements?

Share the intended use, references, quantity and destination. Distinguish mandatory requirements from preferences and unknowns.

Can an FAQ confirm product availability?

No. General guidance does not confirm a model specification or supply status. Check the actual product, quantity and timing in the inquiry.
